Community advocate Pearlene Fields launches campaign for Brooklyn Borough President

Brooklyn, NY – (November 11, 2020) – Flatbush resident and community advocate Pearlene Fields has entered the race to become the next Brooklyn Borough President. If elected she will become the first woman elected to the office.

Pearlene is a member of community board 17 where she sits on the Land-Use committee and is the current Chair of the Housing committee. Pearlene states “Brooklyn is very diverse, enriched with various cultures and it is important that we are more inclusive as we begin the work of rebuilding Brooklyn economically, socially, and mentally while navigating through the hard realities that the pandemic has brought”.  There are several contenders seeking the Borough President office including the only other women in the race, Assembly member Jo Anne Simon and Kimberly Council, but Pearlene is hoping her outsider people powered campaign will lead to success.
